Dr. Conor Brennan is a Departmental Lecturer in German at Jesus College and Oriel College, University of Oxford. He specializes in modern German literature, ecocriticism, and comparative literature. His teaching includes undergraduate and postgraduate courses on Kafka, post-war German literature, and translation studies. He holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from Trinity College Dublin and previously taught at St John’s College, Oxford. Brennan’s research focuses on environmental humanities, examining ecological themes in contemporary fiction across cultural contexts. He actively promotes access to modern languages through his role as Schools Liaison Officer for German.
