Connie Vitale

Connie Vitale is a Senior Lecturer in Tax and Accounting at Western Sydney University, where she has been actively involved since 2008. As the Founding Director of the Western Sydney University Tax Clinic (established 2019), she focuses on assisting vulnerable taxpayers and bridging theory-practice gaps for students. Her academic rank and dedication to education are highlighted by multiple teaching awards.

Her work is funded by the National Tax Clinic Program (NTCP), with Federal Government grants continuously from 2019–2024 as Principal Researcher. Scientific contributions include Fellowship (FIPA) and peer-reviewed articles on tax clinic legitimacy, student self-efficacy, and blockchain taxation challenges. She supervises student interns in tax return preparation, ATO liaising, and taxpayer education.
