Associate Professor Ann Kayis-Kumar is a faculty member at the School of Accounting, Auditing and Taxation (incorporating Atax) at UNSW Sydney. Her research conceptualises tax as a mechanism to achieve social justice, focusing on taxing multinationals, improving financial wellbeing for vulnerable individuals and small businesses, and reforming tax policies through empirical data from clinical practice.

- Non-practising Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW, Federal Court & High Court of Australia
Her research intersects Taxation Law, Comparative Law, and Public Economics. Recent articles address financial vulnerability, international tax compliance, and legal reforms for tax equity, with keywords spanning gender-based economic abuse, pro bono tax services, and corporate tax policy. She has received prestigious awards like the Societal Impact Award (2024) and AACSB International's Innovations That Inspire Award (2021).
