Connie Hsia

Connie Hsia, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Her clinical expertise includes managing sarcoidosis at UT Southwestern and Parkland Hospital. She holds a medical degree and completed residency and respiratory medicine fellowship training at the University of Toronto, followed by a pulmonary research fellowship at UT Southwestern.

Dr. Hsia is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and American Thoracic Society, and serves as an editorial board member for Comprehensive Physiology – Respiratory Physiology and other journals. Her work focuses on advancing understanding of lung structure-function relationships and developing novel therapies for pulmonary diseases.

Her research includes studies on compensatory lung growth post-pneumonectomy, the role of α-Klotho in lung injury, and clinical trials for sarcoidosis treatments. Collaborations span imaging technologies, molecular biology, and regenerative medicine, reflecting her multidisciplinary approach to respiratory health challenges.
