Conchi Estarás

Conchi Estarás, PhD is an Assistant Professor at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, affiliated with the Aging + Cardiovascular Discovery Center, the Department of Medical Genetics and Molecular Biochemistry, and the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences. Her research focuses on molecular mechanisms driving cardiac stem cell differentiation and repair strategies.

• Education: PhD in Biomedicine (University of Barcelona, Spain, 2011), Postdoctoral Fellowship at The Salk Institute (2018)

Research Interests: Transcriptional and epigenetic regulation during cardiomyocyte differentiation, congenital heart disease mechanisms, and heart bioengineering. Her lab aims to translate these findings into stem cell-based therapies for cardiac repair.
