Clodagh Weldon serves as Professor of Theology at Dominican University, holding concurrent roles as Director of Oxford Study Abroad and Co-Interim VP for Mission and Ministry since 2000. She was appointed to The Centre for Catholic Education, Research and Religious Literacy (CERRL) Strategic Advisory Board at St. Mary’s University, Twickenham in 2023, and previously co-directed the Mazzuchelli Scholars Honors Program.
Her educational background includes a DPhil, MA, and BA (Hons) in Theology from the University of Oxford, where she was later a Visiting Research Scholar in 2010.
Weldon's research centers on Catholic Theology with specialized focus on Jungian Psychology and Religion, evidenced by her monograph on Victor White OP and co-edited volume Teaching Jung. She pioneers interdisciplinary approaches connecting theology with contemporary culture, such as analyzing baptism through country music, and maintains active engagement with scripture studies through Archdiocese of Chicago programs.
Her publication record reveals consistent exploration of theology-psychology intersections and innovative pedagogical methods, particularly in undergraduate religious education where her techniques are documented in Barbara Walvoord’s case study on effective teaching.
