Claus VÖGELE

Prof. Claus Vögele is a Full Professor of Health Psychology at the University of Luxembourg, leading the Department of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences. His roles include Director of the Master programme in Psychotherapy and Head of the University’s Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS). He has held academic positions across German and British universities, including guest professorships at Catholic University of Leuven and visiting researcher roles at the Max-Planck-Institute for Human Development.

Education: Dipl.-Psych. (Landau University, 1983), PhD (University of Hamburg, 1988), Habilitation (University of Marburg, 1997). Administrative leadership includes roles as Assistant Dean Research and Ethics Committee Chair. Professional memberships include Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.

Research focuses on interoception, stress physiology, and behavioral medicine with emphasis on eating disorders, chronic pain, and epigenetic effects of adversity. His work integrates neuroimaging, psychophysiological methods, and machine learning.
