Claudia Brözel

Claudia Brözel is a Professor for Tourism Economics and Tourism Marketing at Eberswalde University of Applied Sciences, where she serves as Program Director for the Master's program in Sustainable Tourism Management. She has held this position since 2012 and is actively involved in multiple leadership roles including membership in the Senate (since 2023) and Chair of the Examination Board (since 2022). Her academic career spans over two decades with significant contributions to tourism research, particularly in sustainable and digital tourism.

Brözel earned her PhD from Technical University Dresden in 2011 with a dissertation on internet transactions in the travel industry. She completed her Master's in International Tourism Management at Heilbronn University and holds a Diplom in Tourism Business Administration from the same institution. Her educational background also includes studies at the University of Bern in Switzerland focusing on ecology and tourism.

Her research focuses on critical contemporary issues in tourism including gender equality, digital transformation, social entrepreneurship, and sustainable marketing.
