Professor Armin Brysch is a faculty member at Kempten University of Applied Sciences, specifically within the Faculty of Tourism Management where he serves as Internationalization Officer. With over 20 years of professional experience in the service and tourism industry, he brings substantial practical expertise to his academic role. His current research and teaching focus on service design, service management and marketing, technology and tourism, with particular emphasis on digital transformation, metaverse applications, and sustainability communication.
Professor Brysch's research interests span service-oriented business administration, digital sustainability communication, metaverse and extended reality applications in tourism, and virtual reality learning environments. His work examines how digital technologies transform tourism experiences, consumer behavior, and destination marketing. He has published extensively on topics including Instagram sustainability communication, virtual worlds' influence on travel behavior, and the role of digital channels in promoting sustainable tourism practices.
His recent publications demonstrate a clear trajectory toward exploring immersive technologies' impact on tourism, with significant contributions to understanding how metaverse applications, virtual reality, and augmented reality are reshaping destination experiences and marketing approaches. His research particularly emphasizes sustainable communication practices within these emerging technological frameworks.

Professor Brysch has led numerous international study trips to destinations including Albania, Munich, Augsburg, Jordan, Greece, Spain, the Dominican Republic, Mediterranean cruises, and Dubai. He holds leadership positions in professional organizations including Vice President of Innovation & Talent Management in the Travel Industry Club (TIC), membership in the German Society for Tourism Science (DGT), and involvement in the Education Committee of the German Travel Association (DRV).
