Clare Mouat is a Teaching Fellow at the Strathclyde Institute of Education, University of Strathclyde, where she leads the BA Childhood Practice programme. She previously served as a Professional Development Officer at SCILT, Scotland’s National Centre for Languages, contributing to national initiatives like the 1+2 Language Leadership Programme and the TELT blended learning programme. Her research focuses on parental engagement practices among early career teachers and language education.
Education:
- PGCE in Early Years Education (University of Worcester, 1990)
- MA (Hons) in Hispanic Studies (University of Glasgow, 1988)
Research Interests:
Explores interdisciplinary approaches to education, with a focus on sustainable development, language instruction, and teacher professional development. Her work aligns with UN SDGs, particularly in climate education and cultural integration.
