Dr. Clair Chinnery is a Senior Lecturer in Fine Art at Oxford Brookes University's School of Arts. She holds a BA (Hons), MA, PhD, and PGCertHE, with previous positions including Lecturer at Keele University and Visiting Professor at Duke University.
Her research examines institutional consciousness through themes of hybridity, gendered experience, and memory. Current work explores human-animal relationships using mimicry to critique European colonialism, notably through the Cuculus Prospectus project incorporating sculpture, video, and field installations.
Exhibition history includes solo shows at O3 Gallery, Beldam Gallery, and group exhibitions internationally. Publications include contributions to Remote Performances in Nature and Architecture and artist books exploring ecological narratives.
