Judy Fox is an Adjunct Professor and Senior Critic in the Sculpture Department at the New York Academy of Art. She holds a BA in Sculpture from Yale University, an MA in Art History from NYU's Institute of Fine Arts, and a degree in Conservation from the same institution. Her practice focuses on contemporary sculpture, material innovation, and the intersection of art history with conservation practices.

Her research interests span sculptural techniques, ceramic art preservation, and the societal role of public art installations. Her work has been exhibited globally, including solo shows at PPOW Gallery (NY), Thaddaeus Ropac Gallery (Paris), and the Contemporary Museum (Honolulu).
Her recent publications include essays in Ceramics: Art and Perception and contributions to The Figure; Painting, Drawing and Sculpture; Contemporary Perspectives (Rizzoli, 2014). She has received major awards from the Guggenheim Foundation, NEA, and the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

As a Senior Critic at NYAA, she mentors students in sculptural practice and material experimentation. She is represented by Nancy Hoffman Gallery and maintains an active exhibition schedule, including a 2019 solo show at the gallery.
