Anne Harris is an Associate Professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), specializing in Painting and Drawing. She teaches advanced courses in figure drawing, portrait painting, and studio practices. Her work explores sculptural form, spatial dynamics, and the intersection of traditional and contemporary figurative art.
Her research interests include the evolution of portraiture, from Rubens to contemporary artists like Kerry James Marshall, emphasizing perception and self-representation. She actively engages students through museum visits and lectures, focusing on historical and modern techniques.
