Ciaran Harman

Ciaran Harman is an Associate Professor and Russell Craft Faculty Scholar in Environmental Health and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University with joint appointments in Earth and Planetary Sciences. He directs the Landscape Hydrology Lab, investigating how landscape structure controls water movement from rainfall to streams and its coevolution with ecological and geomorphic processes.

Research focuses on:

• Landscape evolution and hydrologic function integration
• Critical zone structure and weathering processes
• StorAge Selection theory for transport modeling
• Geophysical imaging of subsurface architecture
