Dr. Chyna Crawford serves as Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at Elizabeth City State University. Her research focuses on critical issues in juvenile and criminal justice systems, emphasizing victims' rights, systemic inequality, and justice for marginalized communities. She actively contributes to organizations like the Texas Juvenile Crime Prevention Center and Courtney’s House, supporting exploited children. Her work addresses media's influence on crime perception, criminal justice reform, and human trafficking.
Dr. Crawford sits on the Board of Directors for the US-Uganda Orphans Education Fund (UUOEF) and previously advised Chi Rho Omega of Alpha Phi Sigma. She is a member of Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity and The Links, Incorporated, reflecting lifelong dedication to service and community empowerment.
