Churnjeet Mahn is a Professor and Deputy Associate Principal for Research and Knowledge Exchange at the University of Strathclyde, where they lead the Wellcome Trust-funded Cultures of Collaborative Research project. Their work focuses on cultural value, travel writing, race, gender, and diasporic belonging, with a particular emphasis on South Asian LGBTQ+ communities and heritage conservation. Mahn has held leadership roles in race equality initiatives and heritage projects addressing structural racism and Islamophobia.
