Chunlin Yu

Dr. Chunlin Yu is an LSE Fellow in Management (Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship) at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He specializes in strategic management of social innovation within hybrid organizations such as social enterprises, public-private alliances, and academic-industrial partnerships. His research examines barriers to social responsibility transformation, inter-organisational collaboration for societal impact, and the innovative use of hybridity in tackling societal challenges.

Education: Expected to graduate with a PhD in Strategic Management from University College London (UCL) in September 2023. Holds a master’s degree from UCL and a bachelor’s degree from Beijing Jiaotong University. Key expertise includes capability-based views, hybrid organizational structures, and cross-sector collaboration strategies.

Research interests focus on how hybrid organizations leverage their unique positions to address systemic societal issues through collaborative innovation. His work bridges strategic management theory with practical applications in social entrepreneurship and public policy.
