Chun Zhao is Lecturer in Microengineering at the University of York. He holds a Ph.D. in MEMS from the University of Southampton and has held research positions at Sharp Laboratories and the University of Cambridge.
His research develops high-performance microsensors leveraging nonlinear dynamics, parametric modulation, and mode-localization effects. Applications include inertial sensors, magnetometers, and energy harvesters with publications in Microsystems & Nanoengineering and IEEE JMEMS.
Zhao serves as Associate Editor for IEEE Sensors Journal and maintains collaborations with Cambridge, Southampton, KU Leuven, and TU Delft. Current work explores 2D materials for enhanced MEMS/NEMS device performance.
