Christopher White is a Professor of Religion at Vassar College, holding the Andrew W. Mellon Chair since 2008. His work bridges religion, spirituality, science, and technology in modern American culture. He earned a BA from the University of California-Davis, followed by MA, MTS, and PhD degrees from Harvard University.
Research focuses on metaphysical spirituality, the intersection of science/technology with religious imagination, and historical studies of psychological approaches to spiritual assurance. Notable publications include *Unsettled Minds* (UC Press) and *Other Worlds* (Harvard UP), the latter winning an ISSR award. His courses explore topics like religion in media, ecospirituality, and controversies in science-religion intersections.
