Dr. Christopher White is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics Finance & Marketing at RMIT University, Australia. Previously, he held positions as Associate Professor at Charles Darwin University (2005–2007) and Professor at Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland (2000–2005). His research focuses on the interplay of emotions, psychological needs, and motivation in consumer satisfaction, word-of-mouth communication, and loyalty. He has published widely in Marketing, Hospitality, Tourism, Higher Education, Health, and IT, and coordinates the Strategic Marketing capstone course for postgraduate students.
Research interests include consumer behavior, emotions and motivation, consumer health outcomes, and Feldenkrais somatic education. He actively engages with media and supervises PhD/Master’s students. Notable contributions include applying self-determination theory to marketing contexts and exploring consumer engagement in digital environments.
His articles span topics from brand love in social media to psychological needs in performing arts patronage. He is open to media collaborations and student supervision in relevant areas.
