Christopher Ward

Dr. Christopher Ward is an Honorary Professor and Adjunct Professor at the ANU College of Law. He specializes in international law, with expertise in domestic-international law interfaces, maritime boundaries, and human rights. He regularly appears in major Australian courts and tribunals, including the High Court of Australia. Dr. Ward holds LLB (Hons I) from the University of Sydney, LLM (Class 1) from the University of Cambridge, and a PhD from ANU.

He serves as President of the International Law Association (Australian Branch) and chairs the Canberra Thoroughbred Racing Club Inc. His teaching and research focus on postgraduate international law, international arbitration, and disputed maritime boundaries.
