Christopher Scanlon is Associate Professor in Deakin University's School of Communication and Creative Arts, holding a PhD in Politics from Monash University. An award-winning educator and journalist, he received the 2013 OLT National Citation for developing emerging journalists through Upstart.net.au.
Research explores contemporary journalism practices, digital media evolution, and sociocultural analysis of parenting. Authored bestselling parenting guides and young adult fiction under pen names. Current doctoral supervision focuses on science communication, journalism curriculum reform, and climate change reporting.
