Dr. Caroline Graham is an Honorary Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the Research Centre in Creative Arts and Human Flourishing at the University of Queensland's School of Communication and Arts. She is an award-winning investigative journalist specializing in narrative non-fiction across traditional and new media formats, including podcasts and data-driven reporting. Graham co-authored the Australian bestseller Larrimah (2021) and the Walkley Award-winning podcast series Lost in Larrimah (2018). Her work explores ethical journalism in emerging media, true crime podcasting, and solutions journalism. She has received a national Office of Learning and Teaching Citation for innovative teaching methods in data journalism.
Her research interests focus on journalistic ethics in new media, regional reporting challenges, and the evolution of narrative journalism. Graham collaborates with industry and non-profits on public-interest projects, including investigations into Northern Territory education access (supported by a Meta/Walkley grant) and cross-disciplinary creative works. She also advises on podcast production and hybrid media projects.
