Eliot Schrefer is a New York Times bestselling author and Graduate Adjunct in the Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Children (MFAC) program at Hamline University. With two National Book Award nominations and multiple literary honors including the Stonewall Honor and Printz Honor, his work bridges young adult fiction, middle-grade storytelling, and science communication. Holding an M.A. in Animal Studies from NYU, Schrefer uniquely integrates biological insights into his narratives, notably in The Darkness Outside Us and Queer Ducks (and Other Animals).
