Christopher M. Keshock is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health, Kinesiology, and Sport at the University of South Alabama. He holds a Ph.D. in Sport Administration (Florida State University, 2004), an MBA in Finance (Central Missouri State University, 1993), and a B.S.B.A. in Management & Marketing (Ashland University, 1986).
His research focuses on applied studies in sport and event management, including economic and fiscal impact assessments for events like the Senior Bowl and BayFest. He also explores participant/spectator preferences to inform marketing and policy development. His work has been published in international journals and presented globally.
Teaching emphasizes experiential learning through service projects and case studies, combined with Socratic methods to foster critical thinking. He teaches courses in sport law, event management, facility design, marketing, and legal issues.
