Dr. Christopher Ludwig serves as the Visiting Professor of Flute in the W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts at McNeese State University, overseeing the flute studio while maintaining a private studio in Houston, Texas.
His academic credentials include:
- D.M.A. and M.M. in Flute Performance from Louisiana State University (2024), minor in Jazz, studying with Dr. Katherine Kemler
- B.M. from the University of Central Florida, studying with Dr. Nora Lee García
Dr. Ludwig specializes in Flute Performance with research emphases on New Music innovation, Chamber Music, Jazz improvisation, Baroque techniques, and Opera collaborations. He actively explores extended flute techniques to produce unconventional sounds across diverse musical genres.
His notable achievements include:
