Dr Christopher Fletcher is Keeper of Special Collections at the Bodleian Library and Professorial Fellow and Fellow Librarian at Exeter College, University of Oxford. He leads a large team responsible for rare books, manuscripts, and archives, with oversight of conservation, exhibitions, and reading room operations. A member of Oxford’s English Faculty, he bridges academic scholarship and library stewardship.

- Focus on book history and material culture
Research and professional interests span modern British literary studies (neo-romanticism), book history, collecting practices, and the materiality of texts. He emphasizes collection-building initiatives, such as acquiring Rector Prideaux’s teaching notes for Exeter College.
Teaching involves the English MSt B course and Bodleian Student Editions, a collaborative digital manuscript edition project.
