Christopher Declara

Christopher Declara is a Senior Lecturer in the Keyboard Department at the Mozarteum University's School of Music & Art Education (SOMA). His teaching emphasizes historically informed performance practices and student autonomy in musical interpretation. He maintains active roles as a soloist, chamber musician, and jury member internationally.

Education & Career:

• Trained under Christoph Lieske and Pavel Gililov at Mozarteum University
• Assistant (2010–2017) at Mozarteum University and Cologne University of Music and Dance
• Habilitation in 2016, leading to his current piano class in Salzburg

• Specializes in classical piano literature with focus on stylistic authenticity
