Eglė Staškutė is a Senior Lecturer and Collaborative Pianist at the Department of Plucked and Stringed Instruments, Mozarteum University in Salzburg. Since 2016, she has taught piano and served as a répétiteur, advancing to Senior Lecturer in 2021. Her roles include supporting masterclasses globally, such as the International Summer Academy of Mozarteum University, IMS Prussia Cove, and others.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree with distinction from Mozarteum University under Prof. Rolf Plagge and Prof. Jacques Rouvier, alongside the Hildegard Maschmann Scholarship as Austria’s top piano student. Her research interests focus on collaborative piano techniques, chamber music interpretation, and pedagogical methods in classical music.
Staškutė’s performances span prestigious venues like the Salzburg Mozarteum Foundation’s Great Hall, Alte Oper Frankfurt, and Istanbul’s Iş Sanat Concert Hall. As a soloist, she has collaborated with orchestras including the Vogtland Philharmonic and Salzburg Mozarteum University Symphony Orchestra.
Her awards include the Villa de Capdebara, Rosario Marciano, and Mozart Prizes, reflecting her artistic excellence. She actively engages in chamber music partnerships with artists like cellist Gustav Rivinius and violinist Liv Migdal.
Educational background includes early studies at Lithuania’s National Ciurlionis Art School, where she won national competitions. She further refined her skills through masterclasses with Pavel Gililov, Itamar Golan, and Paul Badura-Skoda.
