Christopher De Jesus

Dr. Christopher De Jesus is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, specializing in General and Minimally Invasive Surgery. He trained at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Santo Domingo, completed his General Surgery Internship at Mt. Sinai Morningside/West, and served as Chief Resident during his General Surgery Residency at Lenox Hill Hospital – Northwell Health. He further honed his expertise through a Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at SUNY University at Buffalo. Board-certified in both General and Colorectal Surgery, his practice emphasizes compassionate care alongside surgical excellence.

His research interests focus on minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques, colorectal cancer treatment, management of benign anorectal conditions, and innovative ERAS protocols to enhance patient recovery. He prioritizes comprehensive patient education and holistic care, ensuring patients and families understand their health journeys.
