Dr. Christopher Carlsten is a Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC), holding key leadership roles including Head of the Division of Respiratory Medicine and Director of the Centre for Lung Health.
- He also directs the Legacy for Airway Health and the Air Pollution Exposure Laboratory.
- Holds the Canada Research Chair and the Astra-Zeneca Chair in Occupational and Environmental Lung Disease.

- Asthma and COPD induction and exacerbation
- Respiratory immunology and cardio-pulmonary health effects
- Community-partnered research to reduce health disparities
