معرفی
Dr. Mridu Gulati is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. She specializes in interstitial lung diseases, sarcoidosis, and occupational/environmental pulmonary disorders. Her clinical roles include Associate Director of the Yale Interstitial Lung Disease Program and Director of Sarcoidosis. Dr. Gulati holds dual appointments in Pulmonary Medicine and Occupational & Environmental Medicine.
Education:
- MD, New York University School of Medicine (1997)
- Residency: Internal Medicine, University of Michigan Medical Center (2000)
- Fellowships: Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at New York University, UCSF, and Yale
Research Focus: Dr. Gulati's work centers on environmental triggers of interstitial lung diseases, sarcoidosis pathogenesis, and occupational lung disease mechanisms. Key areas include air pollution impacts on IPF severity, multi-organ sarcoidosis biomarkers, and exposure assessment methodologies. She collaborates on translational studies linking environmental exposures to pulmonary outcomes.
Recent Trends in Publications: Her work emphasizes environmental determinants of lung disease progression, with studies showing air pollution correlates with IPF severity and mitochondrial DNA's role in sarcoidosis fatigue. She has developed exposure assessment tools for fibrotic lung diseases and investigates novel therapeutic targets for sarcoidosis.
Clinical Trials: Active trials include BEACON-IPF for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis treatment and genetic studies in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease. She also explores Wnt-beta catenin pathways in fibrosis.
Labs/Teams: Core member of the Winchester Center for Lung Disease and Scleroderma Program. Active in the Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) Program and Occupational & Environmental Lung Diseases Program.
