Christopher Bruner

Christopher Bruner is the Stembler Family Distinguished Professor in Business Law at the University of Georgia School of Law. He co-directs the Dean Rusk International Law Center and holds a courtesy appointment in the UGA Terry College of Business Legal Studies Program.

His research focuses on Corporate Law, Corporate Governance, Comparative Law, and Sustainability, examining intersections between legal frameworks, shareholder power, and global economic dynamics.

Recent publications highlight trends in corporate sustainability, technological integration (e.g., AI and blockchain), and comparative jurisdictional analysis. He has co-edited volumes on corporate law agendas and sustainability governance.

Bruner has held visiting positions at institutions including the University of Cambridge, University of Hong Kong, and National University of Singapore. His education includes degrees from the University of Michigan, University of Oxford, and Harvard Law School.
