Christopher Austin

Christopher Austin serves as a Professor of Physics in the Department of Chemistry and Physics at Oklahoma Christian University, where he is also an alumnus.

He earned his Ph.D. in Physics with specialized research in Physics Education.

Dr. Austin's scholarly work centers on Physics Education, Science Education, and Transformative Learning methodologies. His contributions include presentations at the Transformative Learning Conference (2013, 2014) and publications in the Journal of Transformative Learning during those years. He has applied his expertise to practical educational frameworks by assisting in the development of the state Physics certification exam.

Recognized for leadership development, Dr. Austin was selected for the Outstanding Professor Academy for Educators' Leadership Academy (2013-2014 cohort) and subsequently served as a mentor for new participants during the 2014-2015 academic year.
