Christophe Ravaud is a Junior Research Fellow and Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics (DPAG), University of Oxford. His research focuses on cardiac tissue repair mechanisms and immunomodulation post-myocardial infarction, with particular emphasis on lymphangiogenesis optimization.
He completed his PhD at University Nice Côte d’Azur (2013–2017), studying HIV HAART therapy's effects on adipose stem cells. Post-PhD, he joined Prof Paul Riley’s group at DPAG and Oxstem, an Oxford biotech spin-out developing small-molecule therapeutic strategies for endogenous tissue repair.
Current work investigates post-heart-attack immune responses and lymphatic system dynamics to enhance regenerative environments. Collaborations include the MRC-funded programme on cardiac injury immunomodulation.
