Christine Sinclair serves as an Honorary Fellow within the Institute for Education, Community and Society (IECS) at the University of Edinburgh's Moray House School of Education and Sport. She joined the Digital Education programme staff in 2011 after completing her MSc in E-learning (now Digital Education) in 2010, following prior educational development roles at three other Scottish universities.
Her educational background includes a PhD (2004) examining student experiences in mechanical engineering through an insider perspective, and an MSc in E-learning (graduated 2010).

Dr Sinclair's research centers on digital learning environments, academic writing/literacy development, and student learning experiences. She investigates dialogue frameworks in education, MOOCs from instructors' viewpoints, and spatial theory applications in educational hubs, bridging theoretical insights with practical teaching methodologies in online and blended contexts.
She currently supervises PhD candidate Christopher Hambley researching spatial theory and the Media Hub. Her teaching portfolio includes core postgraduate courses: Introduction to Digital Environments for Learning, Course Design for Digital Environments, The Digital Student Experience, and Thesis Preparation for EdD students.
