Christine Habeeb is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at East Carolina University's College of Health and Human Performance. Her research focuses on team dynamics, interpersonal relationships, and efficacy theories within sport and military contexts.

Her work examines how dependence on teammates or coaches affects performance and wellbeing, with two research lines: efficacy beliefs in group performance and social influences on wellbeing. She utilizes quantitative analysis of small groups and has published extensively on athlete burnout, mental health help-seeking, and military-civilian parallels.
Recent grants include DOD - Department of the Army funding (2024) and American Athletic Conference awards (2022-2023). She serves on editorial boards of Journal of Sport & Exercise Psychology and Psychology of Sport and Exercise.
