Christine Brown Wilson is a Professor (Education) at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Queen's University Belfast. Her research focuses on Aging, Dementia care, and participatory methodologies to improve healthcare practice and education. She leads initiatives in co-designing digital interventions, such as games and resources, to enhance staff and student competencies in dementia care, diabetes management, and cardiovascular disease. As Director of Internationalisation and Education Theme Lead, she spearheaded the first Graduate Entry Masters in pre-registration nursing in Ireland. Awards include shortlisting for the Alzheimer's Society Dementia Hero Awards and Best Oral Presentation (2023). She supervises PhD/Master’s students and collaborates globally on projects in the UK, Australia, and Singapore.
Her educational contributions include co-designing digital tools to promote assessment integrity and resilience in nursing students. Current projects involve developing a dementia-awareness game for children and a diabetes education intervention for care homes. Over 177 research outputs since 2006 reflect her expertise in qualitative methodologies, service improvement, and stakeholder engagement.
Key collaborations span nursing education, cross-cultural co-design, and policy development. She actively participates in international conferences, symposia, and media engagements to disseminate research findings and advocate for patient-centered care innovations.
