Over two decades, she has studied collective action frameworks in Latin American mangrove forests and small-scale fisheries. Recently, her work expanded to Maine, examining climate change impacts on fisheries and offshore wind development.
Her research integrates qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including ethnographic fieldwork, fishery data analysis, and geographic information systems. Key themes span political ecology, economic anthropology, and human dimensions of environmental change.
Recent publications analyze mangrove-fishery dynamics, climate adaptation strategies, and participatory governance models. Collaborative works with interdisciplinary teams appear in journals like Human Ecology and Environmental Values.
