Dr. Christine A. Weirich is a Research Fellow at the ESRC Centre for Vulnerability and Policing Futures Research Centre, a collaboration between the University of Leeds and the University of York. She supports projects on Online Child Sexual Victimisation (led by Prof. Corinne May-Chahal) and Deliberative Forums on policing standards (led by Prof. Ben Bradford). Previously, she worked on the IcARUS project (2020) analyzing 30 years of European crime prevention and security strategies. Her PhD from the University of Glasgow (2019) focused on antiquities trafficking and situational crime prevention, conducted within the Trafficking Culture research group and Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research (SCCJR).
Education: PhD in Criminology (Glasgow), MS in Criminal Justice, BA in Philosophy, and BFA in History of Art. Research affiliations include the Centre for Criminal Justice Studies at Leeds and prior work at the University of Cincinnati’s Centre for Criminal Justice Research. Her expertise spans cultural heritage protection, illicit markets analysis, and evidence-based policing strategies.
