Christina Isaxon is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering (LTH), Lund University, affiliated with the Department of Ergonomics and Aerosol Technology, NanoLund Centre for Nanoscience, and the Centre for Healthy Indoor Environments. Her research focuses on airborne particle generation, characterization, and health impacts, particularly nanoparticles and workplace exposures.
- Senior Lecturer, Ergonomics and Aerosol Technology (LTH)
- Principal Investigator, NanoLund Centre for Nanoscience
- Member, LTH Profile Area: Aerosols & Nanoscience
- Researcher, Centre for Healthy Indoor Environments
Her work investigates respiratory and systemic effects of particulate matter through field measurements, controlled experiments, and international collaborations like the Ethiopia maternal health study. She specializes in:
- Aerosol science and particle characterization
- Occupational exposure assessment
- Indoor and outdoor air pollution
- Nanosafety and risk communication
- Public health implications of particulate matter
Key publications address biomass cookstove emissions, urban aerosol modeling, and PM2.5 transformation. She received the Excellent Teaching Practitioner award (2018) and actively engages in public outreach through seminars, media appearances, and educational programs like Adopt a Class of 8-graders.
