Aneta Wierzbicka is an Associate Professor at Lund University's Division of Ergonomics and Aerosol Technology, where she serves as coordinator for the Centre for Healthy Indoor Environments. She holds multiple institutional roles including membership in LTH Profile Areas for Aerosols and Circular Building Sector, and participation in the MERGE research network.
- Wrocław University of Technology (Poland)
- University of Birmingham (UK)
- PhD in Aerosol Technology (Lund University, 2008)
Her research investigates airborne particle characterization, indoor exposure assessment, and holistic approaches to environmental health. Key methodologies include human chamber exposure studies and real-time aerosol measurements. Current projects examine physicochemical particle properties, urban air quality, and sustainable building practices.
Recent publications highlight trends in indoor air policy development, hospital ventilation design, and particle toxicity assessment. Her work integrates environmental engineering with public health, emphasizing exposure mechanisms and SDG-related sustainability.
- Fellow of the International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate (ISIAQ, 2022)
Aneta has supervised 6 academic works and participated in 31 professional activities including conference organization (e.g., Aerosols Yearly Meeting 2025) and seminar leadership. She has received significant research grants from the Swedish Research Council and contributes to global IAQ standards through media engagement and expert networks.
