Christina Heckman is a Professor in the Department of English & World Languages at Georgia Southern University's Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from Loyola University Chicago (2002), an MA (1997) from the same institution, and a BA in International Relations from the University of Notre Dame (1995). Her research focuses on Medieval literature, linguistic history of English, and cultural transitions in premodern Europe.
Her scholarship explores themes such as religious symbolism in medieval pedagogy, narrative structures in game theory contexts, and the interplay between dialectics and societal change. Recent publications include studies on Judas' literary portrayal, medieval monastic education, and linguistic patterns in Old English poetry.
Professional service includes textbook evaluations for Cengage Learning, Pearson Higher Education, and Prentice Hall, focusing on introductory literature and language pedagogy materials. She has also contributed to academic reviews of medieval literary works and their textual dynamics.
