Christina Griessler

Dr. Christina Griessler is a University lecturer at Andrássy University Budapest, serving as Rector's representative for Western Balkans cooperation. She has been a research associate for the Political Communication Network (netPOL) at the university since 2011 and is affiliated with the Chair of Comparative Politics with a Focus on Central and Eastern Europe in the EU.

Her research expertise spans several critical areas of political science:

• Conflict and Peace Studies with emphasis on conflict transformation
• Reconciliation processes and conflict mediation
• Political systems of Western Balkan states
• EU enlargement dynamics
• Irish and Northern Irish politics

She completed her master's degree in political science and cultural and social anthropology at the University of Vienna in 1999, received her doctorate in political science from the same institution in 2009, and earned a postgraduate diploma in conflict and dispute resolution studies from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.
