Christina David

Associate Professor Christina David is a faculty member at RMIT University's School of Global, Urban and Social Studies, specializing in Social Work & Human Services. She holds a PhD, Grad. Dip. (Bus.), BSW, and BEd. Her research focuses on disability policy, mental health, elder abuse, and social work education, emphasizing participatory methodologies and community engagement.

Dr. David has received awards including the Early Career Researcher Excellence Award (2019) and the Academic Development Fellowship (2023). She supervises HDR students exploring cross-disciplinary topics like assistive technology transfer and social work field education. Her work bridges academia and practice, addressing systemic challenges in social services and policy reform.

Key projects include evaluating disability services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), enhancing mental health family carer advocacy, and improving housing outcomes for marginalized groups.
