Christie Lynch Ebert serves as an adjunct instructor for pre-service teachers and as the Music Recruitment Coordinator at Meredith College. She holds a B.A. in Music Education from Meredith College (1992) and an M.A. in Music Education from UNC-Greensboro (1993). With nearly three decades in education, she has extensive experience in K-12 public schools, state education administration, and arts advocacy.
Her career at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) spanned 21.5 years, where she held leadership roles including Director of K-12 Standards, Curriculum, and Instruction. She oversaw academic standards development, managed federal grants (e.g., Title III), and led professional learning initiatives for educators across disciplines. Her work emphasized cross-sector collaboration, standards implementation, and holistic education.
Christie’s expertise includes arts integration, teacher leadership, and policy development. She retired from NCDPI in 2020 and now focuses on recruitment, advocacy, and her creative enterprise CLE Heartstrings.
