Christie Bostic is a Lecturer in the School of Leadership and Education Sciences at the University of San Diego. With nearly 30 years of experience in K-12 bilingual special education, her work focuses on fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion. She holds certifications as a reading specialist, autism specialist, and special education law professional.
Dr. Bostic's research examines the intersectional experiences of Latinx special education students, mental health paradigms, and advocacy in education policy. She has addressed Congress on funding for mental health and special education.
