معرفی
Dr. Christian Wölfel is a Postdoc researcher at the Chair of Automation Technology (AUT) within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at Ruhr University Bochum. His research focuses on the control and modeling of plasma-based surface treatment processes, particularly in reactive sputtering. He teaches courses such as System Dynamics and Controller Design, Multivariable Systems, and Data-Based Methods of Control Engineering.
His research interests include advanced control strategies for industrial plasma processes, plasma dynamics modeling, and automation of thin film deposition systems. He has supervised numerous theses on topics like data-driven stabilization of reactive sputter processes and observer concepts for substrate state estimation.
Wölfel’s publications emphasize model predictive control, multivariable modeling, and feedback mechanisms for plasma processes. His work bridges theoretical control engineering with practical applications in materials science and manufacturing.
He collaborates with academic and industrial partners to advance plasma diagnostics and process optimization. His lab focuses on experimental setups for plasma process control, including multipole resonance probes and advanced sensor integration.
