Christian Ingvar is an Expert Supervisor, Project Manager for the Lund Melanoma Study Group (LMSG), and Principal Investigator at Lund University Cancer Centre (LUCC). His work spans translational research in melanoma, integrating Surgery, Oncology, Dermatology, Pathology, and Molecular Biology.
- Key research areas: UV-radiation, molecular subtypes of melanoma, CDKN2A mutations, and biobanking (BioMEL).
- He leads studies on immune checkpoint blockade resistance, BRAF-inhibitor treatment prediction, and dermatoscopic-molecular correlations.
LMSG receives funding from Region Skåne, EU, Lund University, and cancer foundations. Recent collaborations include GenoMEL (15+ years) and multi-institutional proteogenomic studies. His work aligns with UN SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being).
Grant support includes projects on tumor markers, imaging technologies, and molecular diagnostics. He actively participates in academic events like LUCC - Skin Retreat (2022 speaker) and Forskningens Dag (2017 keynote).
