معرفی
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Graeff is a Professor for Technology of Radiotherapy at the Technical University of Darmstadt and Deputy Research Director of the Department of Biophysics at GSI Helmholtz Center for Heavy Ion Research in Darmstadt. His research focuses on advancing radiotherapy techniques, including motion mitigation, 4D treatment planning, and ion therapy applications beyond cancer. He has held roles such as Group Leader in Medical Physics and Post-Doc at GSI, and previously worked at the University Clinic Schleswig-Holstein and TU Vienna. His expertise spans medical physics, radiobiology, and ion beam technology.
Education highlights include a PhD from Hamburg University of Technology (2004–2010) and studies in Biomedical Engineering. He has contributed to FAIR accelerator projects and collaborated on international experiments like the FOOT collaboration. His work bridges clinical applications with foundational research in radiation effects and particle therapy.
Publications in 2025 address topics like microdosimetry modeling for carbon ion therapy, fragmentation cross-sections of oxygen ions, and immune responses to radiation. He actively participates in interdisciplinary projects, including the ESA-IBER Summer School and collaborations with institutions like the University of Lübeck.
